PhD studentship is available in the group of Dr.Jungnam Cho based at the Shanghai Institute for Plant Physiology and Ecology (SIPPE).
The main research focus of Cho lab is plant genome plasticity and mobile genetic elements. Particularly, we aim to understand how transposons jump and then use this understanding to develop crops with greater resilience to stress. Cho lab is part of the Centre of Excellence for Plant & Microbial Science (CEPAMS), a joint research centre between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the John Innes Centre (JIC).
